Thought For Today

Thanks to all the people

Thanks to the several people that took the time to responded to my birthday greeting to my wife yesterday. You will never know how much it made me feel so good reading your good wishes of her, some that had not known her or had never had met her. I even received a beautiful vase of red roses delivered to my apartment in her honor. Thank God that we still have compassion people in our mist. Wouldn’t it be good if all of us Americans would change from our wicked ways and receive Jesus as our savior and trust him?

I did as I said in my birthday greeting to my wife that I would sing Happy birthday to her this morning and the first thing that I did this morning when I awaken up before even getting out of bed, I sang as loud as I could happy birthday to my darling wife, I believed that she heard me, but she did not respond to me, I often talk to God in a audible voice and I know he hears my voice but I never hear his audible voice talking to me, but I can feel his presence there with me. Let us all develop compassion love for ever person that lives on earth, then we will have heaven here on earth.

Thanks again to all that responded to my birthday greeting to my wife, you helped to make a wonderful day for me. —John Davidson

Medal Of Honor recepient, Michal Sprayberry

Good morning Seretha I did not know that your brother in-law was a great hero medal honor recipient, so I researched him on the Internet and I herby salute him for all his great heroism.

Medal of Honor citation
Captain Sprayberry's official Medal of Honor citation reads:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Capt. Sprayberry, Armor, U.S. Army, distinguished himself by exceptional bravery while serving as executive officer of Company D. His company commander and a great number of the men were wounded and separated from the main body of the company. A daylight attempt to rescue them was driven back by the well entrenched enemy's heavy fire. Capt. Sprayberry then organized and led a volunteer night patrol to eliminate the intervening enemy bunkers and to relieve the surrounded element. The patrol soon began receiving enemy machinegun fire. Capt. Sprayberry quickly moved the men to protective cover and without regard for his own safety, crawled within close range of the bunker from which the fire was coming. He silenced the machinegun with a hand grenade. Identifying several l-man enemy positions nearby, Capt. Sprayberry immediately attacked them with the rest of his grenades. He crawled back for more grenades and when 2 grenades were thrown at his men from a position to the front, Capt. Sprayberry, without hesitation, again exposed himself and charged the enemy-held bunker killing its occupants with a grenade. Placing 2 men to cover his advance, he crawled forward and neutralized 3 more bunkers with grenades. Immediately thereafter, Capt. Sprayberry was surprised by an enemy soldier who charged from a concealed position. He killed the soldier with his pistol and with continuing disregard for the danger neutralized another enemy emplacement. Capt. Sprayberry then established radio contact with the isolated men, directing them toward his position. When the 2 elements made contact he organized his men into litter parties to evacuate the wounded. As the evacuation was nearing completion, he observed an enemy machinegun position which he silenced with a grenade. Capt. Sprayberry returned to the rescue party, established security, and moved to friendly lines with the wounded. This rescue operation, which lasted approximately 7½ hours, saved the lives of many of his fellow soldiers. Capt. Sprayberry personally killed 12 enemy soldiers, eliminated 2 machineguns, and destroyed numerous enemy bunkers. Capt. Sprayberry's indomitable spirit and gallant action at great personal risk to his life are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.[1]

Put on God's suit of Armour

Thought For Today

Put on the suit of Armour of God

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. EPH 6: 13

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; EPH 6: 14

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; EPH 6:15

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. EPH 6: 16

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: EPH 6:17

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; EPH 6:18

We all should put on the whole full suit of armour of God and wear it ever day. Because we all should be soldiers of God’s fighting for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul in chapter six in Ephesians explains to the Ephesians and also to us just how we can fight the evil spirits of Satin and the wicked world. We have all the tools that we need to conquer Satin and all his angels if we will just put on God’s suit of Armour and fight for Jesus.

God’s suit of Armour

1- Breastplate of righteousness
2- Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
3- The shield of faith
4- Take the helmet of salvation
5- Add prayer, love, faith, desire, strength, and bible instructions, and then we are ready to go to war. John Davidson

I know that this is not a notable wonderful day in your life but it is a wonderful day in my life and it has been ever since I met her and married her in September 18th 1948 and we buried her in March 25th 1985, so I continue to celebrate her birthday ever year. I know that many of you did not know my wife and probably that the most of you that did know her have forgotten her over the years. I still remember her just like that it was yesterday, even thou it has been 26 long years since she passed away. I will sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DARLING WIFE and I know that she will live in heaven to eternity.

I thank God have given me sufficient grace to sustain and endure the loss of loosing her and in knowing she is in heaven has helped me tremendously and I will see her and greet her in heaven some day.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day now has many differen meanings to different people to me it is remembering and honoring the hereos that they have sactified their lives for the freedom that we enjoy here in the good old United States of America. Memorial Day is held yearly on the last Monday of May, it is American:s Federal Holliday, it is the beginning of summer season, it is a season and it makes one want to get out side and dig in the dirt and want to plant some beautiful flowerrs and maybe a few tomatos, or go on a little trip and visit family and friends.

But to me it is a sacret day is rememberin and thanking about close friends and other hereos that gave their young lives so that I can enjoy life at their expense of their lives. I will spend the biggest part of the day of Monday praying and thanking about them and their families. I will spend considerable time praying and praising that God has givening them sufficent grace to be in peace with their loss ones over the years.

I have read where there will be many events celebrating this wonderful day, many large parades and I fully enjoy a parade especially if it is a millitary parade. I know there will be celebrations that are displeasing to our Lord and Savior and I will also pray for them that they will be safe and protected from all harm. Let us all be thankful for this Memorial day and remember that this is the day that our Lord hath made so let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Honoring all Military Heroes

Since we will be celebrating Memorial Day on Monday May 30st, I thought it would be good that we all should remember and honor our heroes that have been awarded “ The Medal Of Honor.”

The Medal of Honor
Officially called the Congressional Medal of Honor, it is the nation's highest military award for “uncommon valor” by men and women in the armed forces. It is given for actions that are above and beyond the call of duty in combat against an armed enemy. The first medal was awarded on March 25, 1863. More than 3,450 men have been awarded the medal, as well as one woman, Dr. Mary Walker, a surgeon in the Civil War. Recipients of the medal are awarded $400 per month for life, a right to burial at Arlington National Cemetery, admission for them or their children to a service academy (if they qualify and quotas permit), and free travel on government aircraft. In May 2011, there were 110 Medal of Honor recipients living.

Seven Promises from God

The bible is full of promises of God and here is seven that will enlighten you if you will read them and study the scriptures that are stated herein.
The 7 Promises Of God to Man
We are all accustomed to promises. We are also accustomed to seeing them made and broken. Anyone who has lived for a number of years would certainly never lay claim to having kept every promise made. There are many reasons why this is true. Sometimes we forget, sometimes we are negligent, and sometimes it may be due to circumstances beyond our control.
A brokenhearted young lady will often say, "But he promised to marry me". And the answer comes back: "Yes, but I changed my mind". People do change their mind, and they do break their promises.
What about the promises of God? How certain are they? The Apostle Paul, in writing about the promises of God to Abraham, addressed the church at Rome with these words: "For the promise that he should be heir of the world, was not to Abraham or his seed through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith . . . therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed" (Romans 4:13, 16). God's promise to Abraham was first spelled out in Genesis Chapter 12. It was repeated in Chapter 22. Verse 18 reads: "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice".
Now a promise is of no more value than is the ability of the one who makes it to carry through. It also includes willingness to do so. God did carry through with Abraham. Paul points out in Galatians 3:16, that it was through Christ God intended to fulfill the promise to Abraham. Also in Acts 13:32-33, the Apostle says: "And we declare unto you glad tidings how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again."
The contour of Jesus' life, while living on earth, was shaped by his trust in the power of the promises of God. When Jesus said: "I am that bread of life", John 6:48, "I am the light f the world", John 8:12, "I am the resurrection and the life." John 11:25, He did so fully realizing that He had been empowered with this right by the Father who had promised to raise Him from the grave. There were more than 500 brethren at one time who bore witness to the fulfillment of this promise according to I Corinthians 15:1-6.

Why don’t you make a copy of these seven promises and hang them on your bulletin board.

What can be said about God's promises to us?
1. He has promised to supply every need we have. The Bible says: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus". That's Phillipians 4:19. Now notice, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs. That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs.
2. God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. (II Corinthians 12:9). in fact, He has made provision for our salvation by His grace through faith. Read Ephesians 2:8. It is through an obedient faith that we have access into the grace of God according to Romans 5:2.
3. God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. Instead, He assures us that a way of escape will be provided. This promise is recorded in I Corinthians 10:13. Jude wrote: "Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present your faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy" (Jude v 24). Darius, King of the Medes, said to Daniel, "Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee" (Daniel 6:16). He did deliver Daniel from the den of lions.
4. God has promised us victory over death. He first resurrected Jesus by way of assuring our resurrection. Peter said: "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we are all witnesses" (Acts 2:32). Paul wrote to the Corinthians: "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (I Corinthians 15:3,4). Later on he adds: "but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Corinthians 15:57).
5. God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully (Romans 8:28). It may be difficult for us to see and understand how this is accomplished at times, but God has promised it, and He will deliver.
6. God has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins will be saved. (Read Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38).
7. God has promised His people eternal life (John 10:27,28). In closing, let me appeal to you to live so that the promises of God will be yours.

Thought For Today

I thought that ever American should know how your president is throwing all America under the wheels of a loaded bus.

Press release

President Obama today announced his support of returning Israel and Palestine to the pre war borders of 1967. This announcement was an unprecedented act and is yet another example of his policy of blaming Israel first. President Obama's course is a rapid and drastic departure from previous U.S. policy. These actions are totally unacceptable. Abandoning decades of peacemaking efforts, this plan is a return to the failed past and would heavily jeopardize Israeli security and stability in an already unstable Middle East.

Americans know that a safer Israel is a safer world, and expect our President to put his best foot forward towards accomplishing this goal. Unfortunately it is now very clear Barack Obama simply does not support one of America's closest allies.

Israel needs the support of the American people now more than ever. Take a stand today and sign the petition to tell Barack Obama: Don't betray Israel.
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman said Obama, whom he served as U.S. ambassador to China until last month, undercut an opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians to build trust. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said Obama "threw Israel under the bus" and handed the Palestinians a victory even before negotiations between the parties could resume. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called it "the most dangerous speech ever made by an American president for the survival of Israel."
Foreign policy has hardly been the center of the debate among the still-forming GOP presidential field. Instead, the candidates and potential candidates have kept their focus — like the country's — on domestic issues that are weighing on voters and their pocketbooks. Obama's speech Thursday provided one of the first opportunities for Republicans to assert their foreign policy differences with Obama and his Democratic administration.
Obama endorsed Palestinians' demands for the borders of its future state based on 1967 borders — before the Six Day War in which Israel occupied East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. That was a significant shift in U.S. foreign policy.
President Obama is visiting in England hob-knobbing with the Queen spending our hard earned money, but that is ok, because the furthers distance that we keep him from the while house the better. John Davidson

Some scripture

Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Romans 3:30

There is one God and he will justify our faith in all circumstance

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6:22

Now be free from sin by the birth of Jesus Christ on the cross and becoming a servant of God we can praise him and serve him

For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

The wages of sin is our debt to God but we can pay our debt by loving and trusting our savior Jesus Christ

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

Brother Adam rejected Gods command by eating the forbidden fruit and brought sin of the world on all people

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1thy 2:1

Well now we can pray thru Jesus Christ to our God and he will forgive us of all our sins and deliver us and make us whole again

For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

BEWARE Of Pride

My devotional this morning explains pride much better then I could ever do, so I am sending their devotional to you today.

Beware Of Pride

PROVERBS 16:18 NIV
18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a
fall.

Pride is deadly. But instead of warning us the world encourages
pride in every way.

What is pride?

Pride is faith in yourself, instead of faith in God.

The root of pride is selfishness: putting yourself first.
Thinking you are the most important. Thinking you know the
most. Thinking you deserve better than someone else.

Pride will cause you to go your own way instead of God's way.
Pride makes you think you do not need God's advice or help.

Pride is the root of all sin. It causes you to turn away from
God instead of turning to Him. All disobedience has pride as
its root. All rebellion has pride behind it. All mistreatment
of other people is caused by pride: putting yourself and your
feelings above the other person and their feelings.

The world system promotes people who are proud, and often gives
them great riches. Jesus said pride is evil and defiles a
person. (Mark 7:21-23)

While the world may promote the proud for a short time, their
fame and success will not last.

JAMES 4:6 NKJ
6 . . . "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

Pride is the most serious, and the most subtle, sin. It often
goes unrecognized.

Beware!

Dear God: please, help me to beware of pride, give me the wisdom to recognize any pride in my life, let me humble myself and shun away all pride in my life.

My Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father I come to you this morning in front of the old rugged cross, I come thanking you for another wonderful nights rest and sleep. It appears that you are going to give us another beautiful day in our lives, I ask you dear God to lead and guide me today to do every thing that you have planned for me to do and praise and glorify your name. Please help me to resist all temptation that may come before me. I thank you for the many blessings that you have bestowed on my family and me. I pray for the many people that are less fortunate then myself. I pray for all the people that have suffered so many desperation in the tornados and the floods. I lift up the names of my friends and neighbors that have Illness and diseases and trials and tribulations that you will bless them and provide them for all their needs. AMEN --- John Davidson

Mothers Day

I hope and pray that everyone had a wonderful day celebrating their mothers that are still living and for us that have been departed from them by death. I had a wonderful day after my devotional period sitting out in my patio admiring my new flower garden and meditation on the memories of my mother and my lovely wife, my how many pleasant memories what I have of both of them. Saturday with the help of my son and my grand son we planted twenty pots of pretty plants of impatiens and I dedicate them to my Mother and my wife, in honoring them. I will enjoy them all thru the summer and will thank of them ever day as I sat and admiring them and I pray that my friends and neighbors will enjoy them as well. My Mother and my wife both loved pretty flowers and because they insisted me to help them with there gardens that helped me to enjoy them.

I thank ever day should be Mothers day and Fathers day, I do not mean that it should be a Holliday and you need to make it a commercialized day and spend money that you cant afford, but meditate in the wonderful memories of them and what they did for you.

I thank also ever day should be the Lords day that we should love him praise him and serve him. Have a wonderful day, stay close to God, and he will stay close with you. John Davidson

Doubts

Here is some promises that God tells us when we have doubts, and I believe that we all have some doubts some times about some certain things. We all have some large mountains in our lives but if we could develop our faith as much as a mustard seed we could say to these mountains in our lives is gone are erased. When we pray if we had sufficient faith and we believe in our heart mind and soul that God would hear our prayer and he would answer them and all our desires would be given to us.

Mark 11:22 (KJS) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

Luke 12:29 (KJS) And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Roma 4:20 (KJS) He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Worship or worshiping

To me every thing that you worship except God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit or what that pertains his kingdom is a sin. I believe that there are many people that go to church they are a Pharisee they go there to see or be seen, and are not truly worshiping God. I believe that many people portend to be Christians and maybe they are but I see them worshiping many other Gods in their lives more then they do of God. I am not judging them, God will judge us all, and I am only observing some things that I see within my daily walk each day.

Our leaders of our great nation appear to me to be hypocrites many of them profess to be Christians and yet they only lead us in the way that fills their pockets with our money. They only worship their own party whether they are Republication or democrats; they have no care or concern what is good for their people that voted them in office.

In my daily walk I hear many words expressed to each other more then I do the word of God or any thing that pertains to the bible. Now I am just as guilty of some of these sins as everyone else so that is the reason that I need a savior like Jesus Christ to forgive me of all my sins.

Some scriptures for you to enjoy
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name [is] Jealous, [is] a jealous God: Exd.34: 14

Now we do find other Gods to worship except our living savior Jesus Christ our God, don’t we?

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [even] all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. Deu.4: 19

As we gaze up in to the elements and observe the beauty that God has created for us to see and admire. God created the wonderful beautiful architect of the whole world. God deserve our worshiping him for he is our supreme commander, he is our God.

Hath not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and burn incense upon it? 2Ch 7:19

The church should be where we go to worship and listen to the word be preached to us and learn how to worship our king Jesus Christ, not act like a Pharisee that wants to be seen and given the best seat in the building

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Rav. 9; 20

The rest of all people that are not Christians and have not been born again and do not worship God then I feel so sorry for you, may God have mercy on your poor soul.

Faith

What Is faith what is the meaning of faith, to me it is like having faith in God Jesus the Holy Spirit, having confidence in them that they are supreme powers that God created heaven and earth and everything that lives on it. I believe that they are in control of the whole universe. I believe that Jesus was a virgin born baby and live here on earth just like you and me only we were sinners but Jesus never committed any sin. I believe the bible is a complete truth and is inspired word of God. I believe that Jesus was crucified on the cross and spent three days and nights in the tomb and arose on the third day and spent forty days here on earth and then ascended up in to heaven where he now lives and sets on throne by his father, I believe that Jesus will come back to earth and collect all his saints and take us to heaven with him.

Faith believes in something that is not seen with your naked eye and not proven, but we have the word of God and that is proof enough for me. Faith believes in anything as a code of ethics, standards merits and honesty. Faith is a system of religious teaching belief of Christian faith. As Christians it is our obligation to be true to our faith to God Jesus and the Holy Spirit at all time. Faith believes in God and Jesus promises in the holy bible that he will never forsake us and that he will stand by us.

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. Mat 9; 2`

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Mat 9: 22

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. Mat 9:29

The Word

The word of God will make us free. There is no other way or means that will give us complete freedom but knowing and serving our savior. If we will read and study the word of God and accept Jesus as our savior and repent of our sins then we can have complete freedom in our hearts. There are many scriptures in the bible that explains to us how we can have freedom in our hearts and also in our nation. I believe that the most of us have failed miserably on our obligation to God, let us repent of our sins and change our attitude and serve our Lord whole heartily, and then we will have freedom in our hearts and in our nation.

Some scriptures that may help

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2-Ch 7:14

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer [that is made] in this place. 2-Ch 7:15

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1: 1

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1: 2

And many more believed because of his own word; John 4: 41

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 5: 24

Let me lay my self down to sleep, I pray to my Lord my sold to keep, If I should die before I wake, I pray to my Lord my sold to take. AMEN

Holy Spirit

Are you filled with the Holy Spirit, can you feel it working within your heart mind and soul leading and guiding you in every thing you do. If we are a born again Christian then we are a new creation and old things have passed away and we should have Holy Spirit.
Read scripture 2 Corinthians 5: 17--
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Our old bodies are sort like an automobile gas tank we get a little lax in activating and using the Holy Spirit, like the gas tank gets a little low in fuel we have to go back to the service station and gets it refilled, so when we let our Holy Spirit get little low we have to go back to God to be refilled.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
John 3: 1

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. John 3:2

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ISA> 57:15

Thank you Dear God for your wonderful helper the Holy Spirit, I could not survive life here on earth without his presence in my life. I have to be refilled ever day with your spirit.

I will offer a group prayer to our lord tonight and ask him to showier each of you with his wonderful blessings.
